This hand-painted angel figurine is inspired by the Spanish Baroque polychrome sculptural tradition, closely related to the celebrated Olot devotional style. The figure depicts a young angel in a graceful, dynamic stepping pose with an expression of serene, gentle devotion. The head is slightly inclined with a composed, delicate expression. One hand is extended forward in a welcoming gesture of presentation or greeting, while the other hand holds a white lily flower — a classical symbol of purity and divine annunciation. Large bilateral wings rise and spread upward in a dignified semi-open position, rendered in rich ivory and cream tones with warm golden highlights at the bases and detailed feather texture. The angel wears richly decorated, multi-layered flowing robes in deep teal-blue with intricate gold estofado-style floral and scrollwork embellishments painted directly onto the fabric surface, paired with a dramatic crimson and burgundy draped mantle with heavy gold-embroidered trim, and a golden amber sash.
